If you're my friend on Facebook, there's little chance that you escaped this.
But there's a chance.
So therefore, for my post this week, I am shamelessly plugging an article I wrote for the CapTimes, profiling five immigrants in Madison who have started their own businesses. They are from Laos, Gambia, Israel, Colombia, and Poland. It was seriously a delight to interview all five. And I didn't tear up during two of the interviews! You teared up during two of the interviews!
But seriously, I think it's important, now more than ever, to value the stories of people who are different than us. And people who have faced much, much harder things than I ever have.
A preview of these awesome, inspiring people:
The piece itself. Enjoy!
