Do you feel stuck? Is there something in your life that seems like it will never change? Well, I’m here to tell you today to get your hopes up, because I’ve come across a few things that make me believe that anything is possible:
1) My vitamin D levels are now too high.
When I was in college, I found out that my vitamin D levels were very low, probably because of the fact that I went to school in Beaver Falls, PA, which is rainy and cloudy A LOT. Ever since then, I’ve been on some kind of vitamin D supplement, which at one point got bumped up to five times what it had been previously. I’ve also constantly heard about how everyone in the world isn’t getting enough vitamin D, and we need way more than we think, etc., etc., etc.
So color me shocked when I found out after my latest blood tests that now my vitamin D levels are too high and I need to cut back. I literally did not think this was possible, and I’m still not really over it.
2) It is 57 degrees today.
In February. In Minnesota. Enough said.
3) Corinne is in the final four on The Bachelor.
For those of you who are too classy to watch the show, this is akin to Trump becoming the Republican nominee, or the Patriots coming from behind to win the Superbowl this year.
4) I’m trying out a gluten-free diet.
I’ve heard good things about going gluten-free for mental health, and I’ve finally decided to give it a shot. This is shocking because, as Lisa says, “You love the noodles!” I do. I really, really do. I could literally have pasta every day. But you know what else is shocking? I’m really not minding it so far, and I’m enjoying the challenge of working within the limits it gives me. (This is probably true only because I’m liking the gluten-free pasta, and I also found a killer gluten-free cookie recipe. If I hadn’t, all bets would be off.)
5) I’m not going to strain to come up with a legitimate fifth item for this list, even though only having four hurts my perfectionist soul.
This is big, guys. But oh look, I still win, anyway!
So if you’re feeling down about something in your life, keep your chin up. If these things can happen, anything can.
